At our organization we enable and empower women who are back to work from a career break by providing flexible work hours.
At Retale Design, 70% of our team members are women.
By going deeper into the value chain of vendors, we work directly with actual fabricators, artisans, and local vendors in design projects, which gives them an opportunity for work and enables the economic growth within their communities of those who need it the most.
We have been working with the Channapatna and other artisans from Karnataka, actively incorporating crafts in our design projects.
Tales@Retale, now in its second year, is a monthly event driving Creativity & Innovation.
This is where we invite prolific speakers who have made a difference to the community - be it via theatre, public governance, book-writing, brand strategy or retail.
This gives our team an opportunity to open their minds to different expression of Creativity and Innovation, allowing them to interact and build a wider network and enhance their knowledge at a large scale.
Another fun yet learning activity is Design Buddies, an event where our team comes together on a Saturday evening with games that are innovative and refreshing, yet rooted in Design.
We consistently seek out opportunities to minimize the amount of waste generated on-site, while also upcycling materials and fixtures available based on the specific project's requirements.
We ensure that we utilize natural lighting and ventilation to decrease reliance on air conditioning and artificial lighting.
